Feeling Stuck

Money Mindset-2.png

Stuck in your life?   There’s no movement, there’s no momentum.

I’ve been feeling it.

I want to go through what I’ve been feeling and how I pull myself out of it.

First, this will have to be consistent behavior that’s chosen, so that it can become habit.  When it becomes a consistent behavior of choosing to have the right mindset about being stuck, then it automatically becomes habit.

It’s going to take time and consistency.  But I know you can do it, because if I can do it, you can do it.

So, feeling stuck.  This can mean a couple different things:

Feeling stuck in weight loss.

Feeling stuck in health habits.

Feeling stuck with how you discipline your kids and run your house.

Feeling stuck in grief.

Feeling stuck in stress.

Feeling stuck in your business.

I’m going to give you some tools that help me both in my business and in my life that have helped me pull myself quickly from that feeling.

How do I stay positive?

Especially when I’ve had 2 very stressful weeks in my home.

How do I continue to put out there my dream to help, support, and educate people when I feel so stressed out about what's going on in my life?

Here’s what I do:

  1. I think about what I’m letting in

Is your sadness promoting more feelings of sadness.  Are you watching sad movies? Are you not diffusing? Are you asking for misery because misery loves company?  Are you watching and reading false information? Are you communicating with negative people? Think of the things you’re surrounding yourself with.  Me personally, I like to do prayer first thing in the morning. I’m reading something that’s filled with love. Forgiveness. Hope. How can you not feel hopeful about your day when you start it off with hope, and love, and kindness, and that we are all broken.  That connectedness of our broken lives coming together in trying to inspire ourselves to stay hopeful. I listen to upbeat music. I listen to upbeat podcasts about things that are going to make my life better and set the right mindset about how I should be thinking about life.  Positive hope filled messages. These people doing podcasts have all been through the ringer. Their life experiences have led them to choose positivity. And IT IS A CHOICE!

  2. Work Out

I know I know, I know.  When I am down and out I do not want to work out.  I want to sulk and watch a sad movie. I don’t want to move and I want to eat.  So think about this. When you move your body you start sweating - sweating out those toxic feelings.  You’re getting your heart rate up which creates a release of endorphins, which releases endorphins and lifts your mood naturally. Give your body what it needs.

  3. Food & Supplements

Are you taking your doTERRA supplements?  I have to take my probiotic, my multivitamin, and my drops of Frankincense, Copaiba, and Tumeric under my tongue or in a shot glass every day or I do not feel well.  So food… am I eating heavy fat, fried, processed foods? Or am I eating whole foods? Foods have such an effect on our body.

  4. Oils. Oils. Oils

I forget to use my oils. Change it up when you’re feeling stuck.  Make a conscious decision to intentionally come up with a solution for uplifting: I go to my Melissa, Passion, Citrus Bliss, Peppermint.  Make a roller. Diffuse them. That’s why they’re here. Go on Pinterest and search uplift/motivate, you will find hundreds of recipes.

  5. Surround yourself with positive people.

Allow your positive person to lift you up and let you vent.

  6. Get out of the house.

Get out of your pajamas.  Staying inside in the house in your pajamas is like sitting in quicksand.  You’re continually sinking. Get out and let other people get you motivated and give you energy.  Go to a coffee shop. Go to your sister's house and play with her kids. Do something you love. Go to a museum, do yoga, go for a walk, paint.  Do something new. Do what inspires you.

“If you are searching for comfort - YOU WILL NEVER FIND TRUTH.”

If you’re searching to remain safe and in your comfort zone of stuck and sad - you’ll never find the truth of who and what you’re supposed to become. That quote was written from “The Messiah”, a show on Netflix.  If you’re choosing comfort, you’ll never find truth.

If you keep choosing you and the positivity mindset, it will become habit and when you do get stuck you will be able to pull yourself out quicker.

If you have a doTERRA business, keep reading:

How to get unstuck in work - doTERRA specific.

  1. I put on a podcast about doTERRA.  The terms, the knowledge. I listen and remember why I fell in love in the first place.

  2. I get out my oils. I refall in love with my oils and it makes me want to talk about them.

  3. I go “live” or make a fun post about what I’m feeling and/or using that day.

  4. I reach out to a friend who I know loves oils, and say “Do you have friends that want to try oils - I have samples to share.”

  5. Go to a coffee shop and look to see who needs oils.

  6. Go try something new - This year I tried Pure Barre.  I’ve met people who I would have never met outside of my circle but I had to choose to get out of my comfort zone. New people will enroll and get you unstuck.

  7. Do the things.  Pull a list of the people you’ve enrolled.  Reach out, text, call, and check in with them to see how they’re loving their oils. People asked questions about how to use oils and LRP.  It gets you unstuck. It helps get others unstuck. It has to start with you!

You have to choose the actions you’re going to take to move forward.  Not to mention, make a list of 100. This action has helped me get unstuck over and over again.  Go through FB and isntagram and make a list. A new cleaning lady, a hair stylist, a health nut I’m following.  If you said you don’t know 100 people, leave the house and go meet new people. Refresh your list.

  1. Create momentum - Have a class! I invite however many people I want.  I invite my leaders to invite their people. Invite and invite, market - make it sound like the most exciting thing because it is the most exciting thing. Get momentum flowing.

This does not always come easy for me.  It’s not like I woke up one day with a clear mindset.  It’s not something I’ve always known how to do. If i didn’t learn so much about taking care of myself and mindset work with doterra, if I hadn’t done that, when I feel stuck I would probably remain there for much longer.  Sometimes, it’s really good to post about what you’re going through. When you don’t want to post about your oils, post about your heart. There’s nothing wrong with sharing about what’s going on. I guarantee there's someone else going through what you’re going through.  The connectedness will feed into you healing and feeling less stuck.

I want to challenge you to pick two new ways to try.  If you need suggestions, please reach out. In your personal life and in your business.  Make a consistent choice and it will become a habit.

Remember,

If you’re searching for comfort, you will never find truth.

Write it down.

Remember, you’re meant to be huge.  You’re meant to be big and great in this world so don’t let your stuckness keep you from getting there.
